About
I am a journalist and photographer located in New Haven, CT. I received a BA in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University in December 2015. Prior to my education, I served as a crew chief, flying on Marine helicopters for seven years (the eponymous CH-53D referenced by my website’s title).
My stories and photos have been published in the Meriden Record-Journal, New Haven Independent, New Haven Magazine, Business New Haven, and C-HIT.org (Connecticut Health Investigative Team). Three of my news photographs were awarded prizes at the 2015 CT Society of Professional Journalists college contest.
I am available for freelance reporting as well as photographing news and events (no weddings), and am capable of videography as well. If you are interested in discussing any potential jobs, send an e-mail to: drtorrellas@gmail
